    Cruciate disease is the single most common source of hindlimb lameness in dogs. These cases can be managed well by competent clinicians in good first opinion practices and therefore represent a large income stream to be kept in-house.

    Programme Overview
    Objectives of the course are to enable delegates to
  • Allow delegates to become competent in the diagnosis of cruciate disease
  • Give delegates the confidence to recommend the most appropriate treatment choice
  • Equip delegates with the practical skills to perform cruciate surgery in practice.

    Basic Cruciate- Day 1
  • Diagnosis of cruciate disease
  • Decision making in the management of cruciate disease
  • Stifle arthrotomy and treatment of the meniscus
  • Lateral extracapsular stabilisation
  • Post-op care and rehabilitation

    Advanced TTA- Day 2
  • Revision of the diagnosis / decision making
  • TTA procedure
  • Post-op care and rehabilitation

    Postoperative care and long-term management

    Wet-lab practical session for stifle arthrotomy and lateral fabello-tibial prosthesis (day 1)

    Wet-lab practical session for TTA surgery (day 2)
